Meet the Fort Worth Team Behind Thistledown Insulation Fort Worth
When you schedule attic insulation in Fort Worth, you want to know who’s climbing through your attic hatch. Fair enough. Our crew is small on purpose: four technicians who’ve worked together long enough to know each other’s habits, strengths, and coffee orders. They’re background-checked, uniformed, and trained across the eight brands we install, from Owens Corning to GreenFiber. What unites them is simpler than credentials though. Each one can explain an R-value in plain English and each one treats your hallway like it belongs to a friend. That last part isn’t training. That’s just who Neil hires.
Our People
Marcus T. – Lead Technician
Marcus has led most of our Fort Worth attic jobs since 2011, which means he’s seen every attic shape Tarrant County can throw at him: barrel-vaulted 1920s bungalows in Fairmount, tight truss attics in Saginaw, and ranch homes in Wedgwood with ductwork that hasn’t been touched since the Nixon administration. He’s certified in spray foam application and specializes in air-sealing around recessed can lights, one of the biggest heat-loss points in Texas attics. Marcus keeps a small notebook in his truck where he sketches attic layouts before starting. It’s an old habit, and it’s why his material estimates rarely miss. He’s a quiet presence on site until someone asks about his vegetable garden, at which point you should settle in. The man grows peppers like he insulates attics: methodically, and with strong opinions about moisture levels.
Delia R. – Senior Installer
Delia joined us six years ago after working residential framing, so she understands how a Fort Worth house goes together before the drywall hides everything. Blown-in fiberglass, batt installation, spray foam trim work, she handles all of it. Delia is the one who’ll point out a bathroom exhaust vent that terminates in the attic instead of outside, something we find constantly in homes built in the 1980s and 1990s across Benbrook and Haltom City. She’s also the crew member most likely to ask about your pets before work begins. Delia owns two rescue dogs and she’s the reason we keep pet-safe product options front and center whenever a choice exists. On weekends she restores mid-century furniture, which means she’s incredibly precise about not scratching your paint.
Rosa M. – Service Coordinator
If you call us at any hour and a real person answers, there’s a good chance it’s Rosa. She’s been with the Cedarwell family of companies since 2015 and runs the scheduling, permit paperwork, and written price preparation for every Fort Worth job. Rosa grew up in Northside and knows the difference between a Tuesday morning drive to Crowley and a Friday afternoon run to Haslet. That’s useful when we’re planning your appointment. She’s also the voice of the Done Right Promise on the phone. If something isn’t right, Rosa is the one who arranges the return visit, no debate and no fine print. She keeps a list of every home where children might be napping during an install so the crew brings quiet tools. That’s not in any manual. It’s just Rosa.
Caleb S. – Apprentice
Caleb is our newest crew member and is working through his spray foam certification under Marcus. He started with us in 2024 after attending trade school in Fort Worth, and most days you’ll find him handling ground support: running the hose, staging materials, and learning how to read an attic’s ventilation pattern before anyone cuts a single batt. He’s meticulous about the cleanup routine, which matters at Thistledown. Shoe covers go on at the door, drop cloths go down in the hallway, and a photo of the finished cleanup is taken before we leave. Caleb is the one taking that photo and he takes it like it’s going on a gallery wall. He also speaks fluent Spanish, which has helped more than a few Fort Worth homeowners explain exactly which closet leads to the attic access.
One Standard, Every Job
Thistledown Insulation Fort Worth belongs to the Cedarwell family of independently owned insulation companies, and that means our crew carries the Cedarwell Care Promise on every single visit, no exceptions. We lay drop cloths across your hallway and wear shoe covers from the front door to the attic hatch. We ask before we move anything. We respect quiet hours when children are sleeping. We explain the price before work begins. Neil Barron set that standard when he opened the Fort Worth location in 2003, and every technician on this page was hired because they already worked that way. The 365-Day Done Right Promise backs their workmanship. If something isn’t right, we make it right. Simple as that.
